- In Health and Care in Tomelilla municipality, we use esTracer as a training portal for all employees within the department. We use it for suitable educations, purchased educations and also links further to educations from, for example, the National Board of Health and Welfare and the Knowledge Guide from esTracer.
Areas of use
-We have a large range of different educations and we invest especially in educations in mental health. During pandemic times, it has been helpful to ensure that we have received information about protective measures for all employees. We have training on specific diagnoses, social documentation, traffic safety and more.
- We also use esTracer to gather information about participation in courses and external training so that everything about our employees is gathered in one place and which then accompanies the person even if you change jobs within the department. It also makes it easier for managers who can easily get an overview of what training needs there are at group and individual level.

What challenges did you face before buying esTracer?
The unit heads had their own compilations of which employees completed which trainings. These lists risked disappearing during manager changes and it became difficult to keep track when employees went between units.
In what way could esTracer contribute to a solution?
Today we have gathered everything in one place without it being connected to any individual manager. The manager gets access to the employees within his group and the employee's completed training also follows when changing to another unit. More employees will have the opportunity to complete training. Now that we have received targeted city grants linked to educational initiatives, we have had a better opportunity to obtain skills increases and then report completed educations.
What effect has esTracer led to now that you have been working in the system for a while?
We have reached more people with both our own and external educations and increased the quality of our business. Educations that were previously difficult to access and sometimes only existed on paper are now more accessible.
Are there any special features that you like / use extra much?
For new hires, we create users in esTracer where we use the function that assigns selected training to the person. There we have selected introductory material, training in social documentation and the like.
